P-O-T-T-Y & You Ain't Got No Alibi

We are in the midst of training our 2 1/2 year old DD to use the potty. Actually, this has been going on half-heartedly for quite some time. But now we are getting into the knitty gritty of it where she is starting to understand what being a "big girl" is all about. We have tried using those Pull-ups, but she wouldn't care if she went in them. So, carpet be darned, I dug out my older DD's old training pants (she's 9 and now embarrassed that she had to wear them). We had a few oopses and had some carpet cleaning to do at first, but now she's got going to the potty, at least for #1, down pat. Even when we put her into the Pull-ups (for nap, bedtime and traveling) she does not want to go in them. We are even starting to get through the night with dry panties. Hooray! Now we just have to work on getting her to go #2 on the potty. For some reason (even though she has done it in the past) she thinks it's wrong. She is holding out on going though. I wonder if she will explode from holding it in the past day and a half! ***UPDATE**** The child has downloaded successfully. Thank goodness! It took another day, but she is no longer in danger of exploding. Now we shall see if she is willing to keep being a "big girl".
